Purpose of this policy
Squeaky commits to giving customers timely access to their meter data, where we are able to access it.
This policy sets out the steps we will follow and the information that we need from customers to honour that commitment.
‘You’ and ‘your’ refers to you, the customer, with whom Squeaky Clean Energy Limited (“Squeaky”) has a supply contract.
Meter data, consumption data and data relates to information from functioning AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) meters, rather than manual meter reads.
How to access your consumption data
Online
If you need access to the consumption data, you can elect to login to your Squeaky customer portal.
You can access your Squeaky customer portal by clicking here https://portal.squeaky.energy/login.
- Your half hourly or other meter data made available to Squeaky is available under ‘Reports’ and ‘Half Hourly Usage Report’.
- You can select the relevant meter numbers (MPANs) using the search tool.
- You can also select the start and end date for the data.
- The data will be shown in a chart by settlement period.
- You can choose to export the chart and/or the data as a spreadsheet.
Evidence published by the UK Government suggests that half-hourly energy use information is more relevant and timely for businesses. You may currently only be able to see your monthly energy use data in the because of previous decisions you have made about data privacy. If you would like to change this, and receive information about your half-hourly energy use instead, please contact us customerservices@squeaky.energy.
If you are having difficulty accessing the Squeaky customer portal, please get in touch with your account manager or send a message to customerservices@squeaky.energy.
By email
If you would rather make a specific data request by email, please send it to customerservices@squeaky.energy and provide the information below.
The information we require to fulfil a data request is:
- Company name
- Your name and role within the company
- Meter numbers (MPANs) you need the data for
- Start and end date you need the meter data for
- The email address we should send a spreadsheet of the data to
Third party access
If you would like a third party to access your meter data on your behalf, you can login to the Squeaky customer portal and export the data (see above). You can then share this with your third party.
If you wish to nominate a third party to access your data:
- Please email customerservices@squeaky.energy requesting access to meter data for a third party
- We will provide a Letter of Authority template for you to complete
- Once you have completed the template, please return it to the same address by email.
- We will check that we have the information that we need to authorise sharing your information with the third party.
- We will then confirm to you and the third party that they can submit a data request
- We will then follow the procedure above to provide the third party with your data.
It is your responsibility to ask us to revoke access to the third party in the event that you decide not to share it with them in future.
Actions Squeaky will undertake
We will respond to your data request within 10 working days.
Where we are able to access your data, we’ll provide it to you by email.
Where we are unable to access it, we’ll explain why and if there is anything you could do to help us access it.
There is no additional charge to access your consumption data online or by email.
Squeaky only provides data for consumption during the period we are your supplier.
